Real Estate · Brand Rollout
KW Island Living → Keller Williams Realty Maui

Brand transition across a multi-office brokerage.

After a merger, the brokerage was still running under several old identities. I was brought on to onboard agents onto the new brand. I also updated a lot of the collateral that still carried the old logo.

The situation

One company, several old identities.

The merger was done on paper. In the market, it wasn't. Offices were still using their old names and logos, so what a client saw depended on which office they walked into.

Everything still carried the old brand. Listing presentations, flyers, market reports, buyer and seller packets, signage, social templates. Email signatures and business cards too.

But the real work was the agents. Every agent had to move onto the new brand — and most of them aren't designers. That's what I was hired for.

What I did

Onboarded the agents, and updated what they use.

01

Agent onboarding

This is what I was hired to do. I onboarded agents onto the new brand while the transition was happening — so they knew what had changed and could get on with their work.

  • Onboarding materials for agents coming onto the new brand
  • Walked agents through what changed and what to use
  • Brand guidance written for agents, not designers
  • Instructions for filling in the templates
  • One place to find the right version of a file
  • Self-serve where it counted — no design request needed for everyday client materials
02

Collateral updates

I also updated a lot of the collateral with the new logo. Agents were using these every day, and the old mark was still on them.

  • Listing presentations and pre-listing packets
  • Property flyers and open-house materials
  • Market reports and neighborhood updates
  • Buyer and seller packets
  • Social templates
  • Email signatures and business cards
  • Editable templates — so agents could fill them in and stay on brand

Going through a merger or rebrand?

A new brand only sticks if the people using it every day know what to do with it. I onboard the team and update the materials they actually use.
